| 1. - Schedules: a. - The conference schedule for each division shall consist of a single round of dual matches. b. - The schedule shall be made for two (2) years, reversing the sites the second year. c. - The schedule shall finish the week prior to the Sectional Tournament. d. - The competing schools may schedule the contest on any night of the school week or Saturday by mutual consent. If a conflict develops, the home school shall have the final decision on the date and time of the contest. Competing schools may schedule "quads" within the conference schedule if the following guidelines are followed. 1. - Contests must be in the week of scheduled competition between the two schools. 2. - O.C.C. teams must compete first. 3. - Both schools must agree to the "quad" arrangement. e. - All contests must be verified by contract. f. - All schools which sponsor reserve wrestling shall wrestle on the same date and site as the varsity. Freshman may be included by contractual agreement. 2. - CONTEST ROUTINE: a. - All matches shall start no later than 7:00 p.m. on a night preceding a day of school. Saturday times are the option of the home school. b. - The visiting team shall arrive at least 1 hour and 15 minutes before scheduled. c. - The visiting school shall be allowed to admit members of the wrestling team and managers along with four statisticians per wrestling team without charge. All others must have a pass or pay the regular admission. d. - Weigh-ins shall be conducted as per OHSAA and National Federation rules. e. - The visiting team shall have mat warm-up time twenty (20) minutes before the match starting time and shall not exceed ten (10) minutes. f. - The home school shall designate responsible statisticians to act as official scorers and timers. g. - It is the responsibility of the home school to designate the location of the team benches of both teams and to eliminate any abuse to the players and coaches from fans in the area. h. - All contestants shall remain on the official team bench with the exception of the participating wrestler and the next weight class wrestler which would be in the warm-up area. i. - It is the home schools responsibility to see that all spectators remain in the stands. j. - The visiting team shall be responsible for any damage done to their locker room area. k. - The use of tobacco, in any form, by coaches or players during the contest is prohibited. 3. - OFFICIALS: a. - The home school shall be responsible for contracting officials that have been approved by the Conference. b. - The official for the match shall conduct the weigh-ins. 4. - AWARDS See By-Law 7 for information concerning awards. a. In the event of an absolute tie for 1st team All Conference between two wrestlers in a weight class, that cannot be resolved, both wrestlers shall be designated First Team All Conference in that class and no 2nd team All Conference shall be awarded in that class. b. To be considered for All-Conference selection, the wrestler must have wrestled more that 50% of the matches in that weight class during the conference schedule. |
