| 1. - Girls volleyball divisional championships shall be determined by a double round robin schedule. Boys volleyball championship shall be determined by a single round schedule of two division. Two (2) points shall be awarded for a win. The team with the greatest number of points at the end of the schedule shall be declared the divisional champion. 2. - Pre-game time schedule and requirements. a. - RESERVE MATCH
1. 5:10 - 5:30 both teams warm up.*
2. 5:30 - Reserve match begins.
* In case of late arrival, the visiting team will be allowed up to ten (10) minutes of warm uptime, beginning when the team enters the court dressed to play. b. - VARSITY MATCH
1. The varsity match shall begin 20 minutes after the completion of the reserve match. The varsity pre-game schedule is as follows:
2. Both teams handling. (3 minutes)
3. Home team attacking. (7 minutes)
4. Visiting team attacking. (7 minutes)
5. Both teams serving. (3 minutes)
6. 20 minutes after reserve match---Introduction of players.
7. Match begins. c. - No varsity warm-up is permitted from 5:10 until the reserve matches are over. d. - The home school shall provide twelve (12) balls for warm-up. No balls are to be taken to away matches. OHSAA APPROVED BALLS MUST BE USED. 3. - The A.D. selected to represent volleyball shall notify all coachs to meet on the Monday preceding the last conference match for the purpose of selecting the divisional all conference team. The A.D. representative shall provide forms for reporting the selections. Each coach will complete the form with correct information and return it to the Athletic Director in charge of the meeting. The Athletic Director will prepare a complete listing of the selections for distribution at the next A.D. meeting. 4. - The use of tobacco, in any form, by coaches or players is prohibited. 5. - See By-Law 7 for information concerning awards. 6. - To insure the nomination of candidates for all-conference teams, coaches should consider the following procedures. a. - All coaches may submit a list of all-conference nominees and all pertinent information concerning a scholar-athlete nomination to the A.D. in charge of that sport one week prior to the selection meeting. b. - At the all-conference selection meeting a coach may add or delete any or all names on his/her list and nominate others. c. - If a coach fails to attend the selection meeting or arrives to late to make his nominations, the list he/she provided the A.D. will submitted as his/her nominations. d. - If a coach fails to submit a list or fails to attend the selection meeting, coaches may or may not nominate players from the absent school. |
