| 1. - Each member of the conference shall play every member of their division as per the schedule approved by the Executive Committee. 2. - The last football game of conference play shall be the tenth playing date of the regular season as set forth by the OHSAA. 3. - The official conference footballs shall be the “Wilson 1005 TDS” And “Wilson 1003”. 4. - Regulations for pre-game activities: 7:30 game time. a. - The period from 7:15 to 7:25 will be available for band entrance, flag ceremony and exit from the field. This period will be from 7:10 to 7:25 for homecoming and parents night or other special occasions. b. - The line-ups will be announced from 7:25 to 7:30 p.m. 8:00 game time. c. - The period from 7:45 to 7:55 will be available for band entrance, flag ceremony and exit from the field. This period will be from 7:40 to 7:55 for homecoming and parents night or other special occasions. d. - The line-ups will be announced from 7:55 to 8:00 p.m. 5. - Regulations for half-time activities: a. - The first twenty (20) minutes of the twenty three (23) minute half time will be at the disposal of the band directors. THE LAST THREE MINUTES WILL BE FOR TEAM WARM-UP. b. - Twenty (20) minutes shall be put on the game clock and the clock started immediately after the field has been cleared of all players, coaches and game officials. (NOTE "c" BELOW FOR EXCEPTIONS). c. - After the twenty (20) minutes elapses, and both teams are on the field, three (3) minutes shall be put on the clock and the clock started immediately for the teams to warm up. d. - See Band Regulations 12 and 13 for more detailed information. 6. - Postponed games shall be played on the evening following the regularly scheduled game, or if conditions still make the game un- playable, arrangements shall be made to play the game on the following Monday. 7. - The home school is obligated to provide, to the best of their ability, facilities for spotting and tapeing football contests. Spotting facilities must be on the visitors side if phone lines are not available from the home side. Each team should have at least one set of operable communications. Each team should also provide their own back-up communications system (wired or wireless) in case of failure and must be permitted to use the system. If one team is left without communications because of system failure not caused by abuse or carelessness, the opposing team will be expected to cease using their communications until repairs are made. The home school does not have to provide the same number of systems to the visiting school that are available to the home school. The use of electronic communication systems at reserve and freshman football games is prohibited. 8. -The following procedure is to be used in the exchange of Video tapes.
a. - Each team will exchange 3 game tapes. The previous 2 game tapes will be made available to be picked up on Friday night at the team bench between 6:30 and 7:00 p.m. The third game tape will be exchanged on Saturday morning at a time and place to be determined by the two opposing schools. The tapes that are exchanged should be original game tapes. A one for one tape exchange will be made. If a tape is for gotten by a coach, no exchange will be made at that time and that coach is obligated to deliver the forgotten tape to the proper school by noon the following day at which time the exchange will be made. 10/5/05
b. - When two teams play each other the following week, the two coaches will return each others tape 30 minutes before game time in front of the home bench. If the tapes have been forgotten, the coach will deliver them to the proper school by noon of the following day.
c. - Each coach may at any time, loan or obtain any game tape from other schools outside the conference unless in conflict with Football Regulation 7a.
d. - Conference schools will apply all OCC tape exchange rules when playing another conference school in a non-conference game.
9. - The varsity home team will wear colored jerseys and the visiting will wear white jerseys. Length of varsity quarters as per OHSAA. Reserve and freshman teams MAY, BY MUTUAL CONSENT, PLAY TWO OVERTIME POSSESSIONS TO BREAK A TIE IF NO CONFLICT EXISTS OR ANOTHER CONTEST IS SCHEDULED ON THE FIELD AFTER THAT GAME.OFFICIALS ARE TO BE INFORMED OF DECISION BEFORE CONTEST* Reserve football teams will wear the same colored jersey that the varsity team wore on Friday night. Reserve quarters shall be 10 minutes. Home freshmen teams will wear colored jerseys and the visiting team white. If a school cannot comply with this, the opponent coach must be notified of the problem in a reasonable length of time before the game. *CLARIFICATION 10/5/05
10. - The home school will provide eight (four for each school) reserved seats in the press box or top row of the stadium within the forty yard line, for only the visiting scouts of next weeks opponents. These seats shall be held until 8:00 p.m. 11. - All four members of the chain gang shall be from the home school and properly identified. The chain gang shall work the side of the field most readily seen from the press box. 12. - The half time clock shall not be started until the field is clear of players, coaches and officials. 13. - Teams shall not enter the playing field until the National Anthem is completed. 14. - When the home and visiting teams return to the playing field after half-time, teams are to remain in the end zones until the home team band has cleared the field. 15. - All persons must have a pass or ticket when entering football games unless they are in uniform. 16. - Football coaches, with the aid of the athletic directors, will evaluate conference football officials after each game. Athletic directors must have this evaluation by the Tuesday following the game. Athletic directors are to turn in the evaluations at the next AD. meeting. The state-wide ballot for football play-off officials will be completed by the coach and returned to his athletic director. The Coordinator of Officials will collect the ballots from the athletic directors and return the ballots to the O.H.S.A.A.. 17. - The use of tobacco, in any form, by coaches or players during the contest is prohibited. 18. - All Conference Selections: a. - See By-Law 7 for number of players to be selected. b. - The conference secretary shall notify all coaches to meet on the Monday following the tenth (10) football game for the purpose of selecting the All Conference teams. The secretary will provide forms for the coaches to use in reporting their players selected to the teams. Coaches will give this completed form to the AD. representative at the meeting. Be sure that all spellings are correct and that the players year in school and position is listed. All Conference information can not be released to the media without the consent of the conference secretary. c. - Coaches will select one of the first team members from each division as the "OCC player of the year and support their selection to the "All District Team". See "OCC Player of the Year" under By-Law 7 for procedures and criteria. d. - See "Scholar Athletes" under By-Law 7 for criteria and procedures for selection. To insure the nomination of candidates for all-conference teams, coaches should consider the following procedures. a. - All coaches may submit a list of all-conference nominees and all pertinent information concerning a scholar-athlete nommnation to the A.D. in charge of that sport one week prior to the selection meeting. b. - At the all-conference selection meeting a coach may add or delete any or all names on his/her list and nominate others. c. - If a coach fails to attend the selection meeting or arrives to late to make his nominations, the list he/she provided the A.D. will submitted as his/her nominations. d. - If a coach fails to submit a list or fails to attend the selection meeting, coaches may or may not nominate players from the absent school. 19. Beginning with the 2002 season, the OCC will permit a freshman schedule of 9 games and one scrimmage per season. |
